Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Tourism (Mitur) and UN Tourism have concluded the third technical mission of their cooperation project aimed at developing and implementing the Dominican Republic s National Sustainable Tourism Policy and Strategy. The primary objective of this mission was to present and validate the draft of the National Sustainable Tourism Strategy and Policy, gather feedback from key stakeholders, strengthen institutional capabilities, and establish the groundwork for effective national and territorial implementation. Over the twelve-day period, the mission conducted bilateral meetings, sectoral workshops, thematic roundtables, training sessions, and high-level meetings with authorities, business leaders, and organizations linked to the country s tourism sector.
