Did you feel it? A 4.5-magnitude tremor hits San José de Ocoa

Santo Domingo.- An earthquake measuring approximately 4.5 on the Richter scale struck the Dominican Republic on Monday afternoon, with its epicenter located in the Sabana Larga area of San José de Ocoa. The tremor, recorded around 3:13 p.m. on October 20, was also felt in Greater Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, and several nearby provinces. Although no damage or injuries have been reported so far, the quake caused brief moments of alarm among residents, who reported feeling the shaking across multiple regions of the country.
